The online marketplace called Craig's List, allows for anyone to post job opportunities, wanted ads, personal ads, and, at least in America, "curb alerts". These are posted by folks getting rid of junk for free. They often consist of a bad snapshot of whatever they are getting rid of, and a short bit of text (often with spelling and grammatical errors). The text in these "paintings" is text gleaned directly from curb alert posts. They are coupled with photographs of myself making these same paintings sitting inside of a structure which I arranged from pieces of furniture at the site of a curb alert, though I have "painted" myself out of these photographs with the "clone-stamp" tool in photoshop.
