The seed distribution suit project began over a year ago. I was interested in exploring the suit as a power symbol and flaying academic organizational hierarchy by simultaneously following bureaucratic protocol (letter writing, formal language), and surprising it (addressing the president of the college as a peer, asking for an old suit).
